Brian was born Oct 31, 1943 in Pittsfield, Mass. Brian moved to Fort Lauderdale at age 3.
Family Members
Brian only had 2 other brothers. He was born in a family of 3. His brothers names were Joe and Don Piccolo, Brian was the youngest. Irene and Joseph Piccolo were hardworking Italians who always put their family first. As an adult he married Joy and had 3 beautiful daughters of his own that he loved very muched.
Childhood and School Life
As a child Brian was a good kid. He played sports and did really well in school he was always on the honor roll. He played with his brothers and Dad a lot as a kid playing all kinds of sports. Brian’s main sports to play was baseball, basketball, and of course football.
Hobbies, Interests, and Activities
Brian loved to play sports. He played baseball and football mainly and some basketball. As a kid he wanted to play professional baseball. He started playing pop-warner football and played high school ball. He also loved to spend time with Joy his girlfriend, his future wife. Brian used to help his dad with the family business which was a sandwich shop. As an adult he loved to hang out with his 3 daughters and his family as much as he could.
Anecdotes
Brian was a giving person. He use to hang out with the fat kid that did all the equipment. Everyone made fun of that kid except for Brian,Brian was different he was a nice kid that didn't like the popular crowd. He loved to hang out with everyone you didn’t need to be a jock to hang out with Pic. Brian was a kind-hearted man. Once Brian wrote a Bear fan that had recently lost his leg to having a tumor.

Brian was also a beast. Senior year in high school one game he was running back and his first 3 touches he got over 50 yards each time. He played for Central Catholic Raiders. Also at Wake Forest in college he led the nation in rushing one year. Also he won the ACC mvp and was an all-American at rushing. He was honorably mention by the AP. As a kd Brian Piccolo was a beast.
Career
Brian Piccolo was a football player. His career was being a player. He knew he wanted to be a professional halfback after doing good at Wake Forest college and leading the ACC conference. Brian wasn’t drafted at first in the initial draft he was eligible. A couple weeks after it a few teams wanted him, Baltimore and Chicago. Brian was confused on what to do, but he finally decided to play for Chicago.After signing with the team he didn't play his whole first year. He played from 1965-1969, so for 4 years. 1966 he made the final roster and really just played special teams. Played a little more in 1967 because he was behind the great Gale Sayers. 1969 Brian was a fullback starting to block for Sayers since he knew he wasn't going to be able to start over him . Brian’s career ended shortly after a tumor was in his chest and he died at age 26.

This book was written because Brian Piccolo wasn't just professional athlete he was a great person overall. He played professional football for the Bears for 4 years. He started full back his 4 year. He was a good player he wasn't just remembered because of his cancer situation, he was also praised on being a good, physical player.
Death
Piccolo died at age 26 from a tumor in his chest. A year before he passed he had the same problem and they thought they removed it, but it came back again and his good friend the doc couldn’t save him. His wife Joy and his kids moved on and remembered the man he was. Bears organization retired his jersey and Piccolo became a legendary Bear player.
